Woda jest wszędzie, ale w różnych miejscach znajduje się na różnych głębokościach. Na jednej działce wodę znajdziemy już na 15 m, a na innej dopiero na 130 m. Wszystko zależy od geologii danego terenu.
Jeśli realizowana studnia będzie wykorzystywana na potrzeby własnego gospodarstwa domowego, a jej głębokość nie przekroczy 30 m nie trzeba uzyskiwać żadnych pozwoleń.
